The City of Houston is mathematically challenged
It must be, because since December the Comptroller's office has found $23 million more dollars that the city doesn't have. But yet, for some reason the City still has no problem giving back $3 million if sales tax revenue over 30 years to help build a soccer stadium. Or spending 1.75% of the budget on "art" that is rarely actually delivered on time, if at all and when it is, it is often ugly as sin, (despite the fact that nobody yet knows what that budget is going to look like, they have already allotted the money for this year.), or $30,000 to erect a white wall to let grafitti "artists" to paint to their heart's content....
Is it me or does the city seem to have a problem with spending priorities?

Did personal tax challenged Controller Green ever settle those liens?
His personal fecklessness spills over into his so-called professional performance.
I completely agree. We have low unemployment and our property values remain stable. We DO NOT have a revenue problem - its a spending one!
