More than half of the pop don't want another actor for pres. The holy war on Hollywood you all have waged worked. Another actor for pres? Sure, that makes the U.S. *look* strong.

First, Fred Thompson served in the Senate before returning to acting. So it is not as if he is a total neophyte.
Second, he would appear to hold real convervative views unlike the rest of the so-called front-runners. McCain is a democrat in virtually all things, same with Giuliani. Even Brownback is also crawfishing on his immigration stand as are the other two. Face it. Hunter, (Fred) Thompson, and Tancredo are the only three that have a clue what the PARTY (vs the politicians) want.
Third, it does no good to support someone that has no chance in hell of being elected. Fred has that chance, and if Hunter were on the ticket as VP, that helps even more. Tancredo has head of DHS and Bolton as Sec. State are gravy.
