METRO "is a wise steward of the taxpayer's money"

So sayeth Bill White (Warning: podcast) in his press conference's Q&A today (Thank you Matt Stiles). It comes at the very end when asked about the $7.2 million deal in which METRO agrees to buy a tract of land from a developer for double the assessed value, and hold the property potentially tax free (Paul Bettancourt plans on sending METRO a tax bill regardless) and sell it back to the developer at cost. That man has GOT TO GO!

Our Limousine Liberal Mayor has done little to cure, let alone repudiate the abuse of taxpayers inflicted by Jordy and Lee. P. Brown. The Brown administration not only blew through BILLIONS in tax money, they also squandered over $7 BILLION in bonds in six excrutiating years.

Thank God Brown is over in Nagin's "Chocolate City" screwing thier taxpayers instead of us.
