An Apology...

Rodney Ellis and Senfronia Thompson want an apology. Ok, here it is:

I am sorry that your names are remotely connected with Houston, Texas, and humanity as a whole. I'm sorry that your constituents were stupid enough to elect you. I'm sorry that you are still wasting oxygen.

How's that for a sincere apology?

I am a native earthling and am sorry for owning all of my slaves. I will set them free when they wish to return to their planet.

I'm sorry to tell you that I'm waiting for you to ask the Africans who sold their fellow Africans to slave traders. Oh, wait, they're black so their actions aren't even being considered.

Also, I'm sorry that I feel I have to post my comment anonymously because anyone who publicly disagrees with any black person who makes their identity revolve around the color of their skin, as opposed the the quality of their personal behavior and choices, is vilified as a racist.

I apologize for mistakes I've made if I think I've made a mistake. I won't ever apologize for something someone else did especially not for actions in the past. Our pasts are what shaped us to the here and now. If you don't like the past, work on the future and start with the way the young people are not being taught to dress or speak or treat all men and women with respect, etc. I'm sick of all the feel-good measures and attempts to legislate simply to pacify. Get over it!

Good post, Ror*!

I just wonder if these two opportunists were brought here to Texas Against their will?

Now with all of that wonderment over, why should I apologize to someone that is not due an apology from "I" (someone) that had nothing to do with the activities in the 1800s?
